Proving you're never too old and it's never too late, Thomas Johnston of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey has emerged as an acclaimed singer/songwriter. Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, with Irish family roots in County Clare and Belfast, he crafts his original songs by combining Americana with a touch of Irish music. His 3rd record, "More Songs to Sing", is complete and is making its way out to the world!! Early reviews are claiming "More Songs to Sing" is the best of his three records!
His debut CD, "Highway Signs and Highway Lines", was released in March 2013. A collection of twelve original songs in the genre of "IrishAmericana", the record tells tales of Irish history as well as personal stories from the heart and soul. The reviews were very favorable. Mike Farragher of the Irish Voice called it an "immensely enjoyable ride...not only a creative triumph, but a personal one as well". Tim Carroll of Folkwords wrote "Thomas writes songs with clean, unassuming melodies linked to powerful lyrics...since I first heard "Highway Signs and Highway Lines", I've revisited it numerous times...and I shall without a doubt return many more times". The Irish Voice named "Highway Signs and Highway Lines" one of the Best CD's of 2013!
