Thomas Johnston of Whitehouse Station, New Jersey has emerged as an acclaimed singer/songwriter and performer. He has gained a growing reputation for his high-quality, intricate finger picking style of guitar playing, along with vocals that range from delicate to powerful. 2019 and 2018 were the most successful years to date for Thomas Johnston, performing about 300 shows at a wide variety of venues. His ability to converse with his audience and make them feel a part of the show has led to his expanding fan base.
Born and raised in the Bronx, New York, with Irish family roots in County Clare and Belfast, Thomas Johnston crafts his original songs by combining Americana with an occasional touch of Irish music. His three award-winning CD's, "Highway Signs and Highway Lines", "Table For One", and "More Songs to Sing", have all been well received and enjoyed by many. He is renowned for his ability to tell stories through songs with threads of truth and emotion that are relatable to his audience.
Thomas Johnston continues to write great songs and make wonderful records. "On This Christmas Day", an EP of 7 original holiday songs, was released in December 2020. His much-anticipated 5th solo record, "Traveling Companions", was released in June 2021 to much acclaim! There are plans for another album release before the end of 2021!
