13 in March, 16 in April, 18 in May…and June thru October are filling up! It's beginning to feel like the late 20-teens, when I averaged between 140 and 150 shows a year! It is SO GOOD to see people out and enjoying themselves and each other! Let the good times roll!

Welcome! I'm Thomas Johnston, an Americana singer/songwriter from Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, USA. Please enjoy the site, especially the music.
I am so happy to announce work has begun on my 6th (5th full length) solo album, "The Troubadour"! It will contain 14 original songs, all to be recorded at the new SonDad Studios (founded by myself and my son, Stephen)! You will find the album and tracks for download in the MUSIC section of this site after release. Physical CD's can be purchased in the STORE section after release. It is exciting times, especially coming off the success of 2021's "Traveling Companions"!
My original songs are influenced by classic Americana, classic Country, classic Rock, and Irish music. All five of my CD's are available on this site, and they are also on CDBaby, ITunes, Apple Music, Amazon, Spotify, and, of course, at my shows. You can listen to individual tracks in the MUSIC section.
After playing 105 shows in each 2016 and 2017, I had the great fortune of playing around 300 shows from 2018 thru 2019! COVID has restricted the number of venues I could play in 2020 and 2021, but I have been fortunate to have a busier show schedule in 2022. And 2023 is going to be VERY busy! Please check my shows schedule on the site, and join the email list.

Update on "The Troubadour"
A great evening of song rehearsal as I get closer to returning to SonDad Studios to put together my 5th full-length record, "The Troubadour"! Worked on 10 of the 12 songs, and I am so excited with how they have evolved! My son and co-producer Stephen are planning to release a couple of singles before we put the album out. I'll be posting regular updates on the progress of the record right here. Thank you for your support!
